(N)o (F)ucking c(L)ue continued...

After a long night with the A.R.E. boys, sitting in the freezing cold, drinking flat lager and watching an indecipherable game of football was just what we all needed. Cheerleaders would good too.

Whittier Blvd, L.A. - August 2006

Only in America.
I found some information about it here. Love the stories. The fact it still says 'Huggy Boy' on the old illuminated sign...the most bizarre church I've seen.

(N)o (F)ucking c(L)ue...

Went to Wembley yesterday to see The Saints vs. The Chargers. What a stupid excuse for a game...good fun though.

War Ensemble

Propaganda death ensemble
Burial to be
Corpses rotting through the night
In blood laced misery
Scorched earth the policy
The reason for the siege
The pendulum it shaves the blade
The strafing air blood raid

Infiltration push reserves
Encircle the front lines
Supreme art of strategy
Playing on the minds
Bombard till submission
Take all to their graves
Indication of triumph
The number that are dead

[CHORUS]

Sport the war, war support
The sport is war, total war
When victory's a massacre
The final swing is not a drill
It's how many people I can kill

[CHORUS]

Be dead friend from above
When darkness falls
Descend into my sights
Your fallen walls
Spearhead break through the lines
Flanked all around
Soldiers of attrition
Forward their ground
Regime prophetic age
Old in its time
Flowing veins run on through
Deep in the Rhine
Center of the web
All battles scored
What is our war crimes
(Era forever more...war)

Propaganda war ensemble
Burial to be
Bones shining in the night
In blood laced misery
Campaign of elimination
Twisted psychology
When victory is to survive
And death is defeat

[CHORUS]

Sport the war, war support
The sport is war, total war
When victory's a massacre
When victory is survival
When this end is a slaughter
The final swing is not a drill
It's how many people I can kill

Go See

Debut feature by British artist Steve McQueen. Was never blown away by his work as an artist, but this film makes me wonder why he hasn't been directing features instead of winning the Turner Prize. It's amazing, trust me. Dark, disturbing, violent and beautiful. Everything a good film should be.

Love to Kill...

Love kills? Whatever. It's a cupid soldier. Geddit? I really like this one...it's got that shitness about it that is so rare. Dunno why but everything I'm doing at the moment has got a Vietnam war slant. OK for now, just hope it'll sell for AW09??? Fuck it, let the salesmen worry about that.
Peace/War.

Something I wrote...years ago

'A microwave that cooks my food is more important to me than the nuclear bomb, and it makes not the slightest difference for me to know that the earth revolves around the sun, or the moon around the earth, although I ebb and flow of the tides may be of interest to fishermen...but who gives a shit about them?
The man that does my dry-cleaning is more important to me than god. Bad music, too loud is more of a catatrophe to me than the next Japanese earthquake. So it goes.'

The City Shrinker

Was just on Creative Review...saw this dude; Ben Thomas. Made me think of my own work at first...working with miniatures that is to say, but in fact these are actual real life exposures with a little bit of computer tweakery. They didn't all work for me, but still interesting. Take a look at his website.
